US Customs and Border Patrol will eventually let you in after ID verification, however, you should check with the mode of transportation for permission to board. If the airline or boat will not let you board then you can contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in the Bahamas to ask them for a Transportation Letter or Boarding Foil. Here are some links:
